Recently read India 2020 by our own president Kalam saheb n Mr. Rajan...it emphasizes on how india can be a developed state by 2020 n steps required 4 the same...at no point in the book do we feel that something suggested is not achievable...nowhere does the book pinpoints someone for the failures we have had till now...instead it stresses on the progress made in various fields n how we can be the leaders in these fields...
The book starts of with a definition of a developed state...how different countries envision for themselves...whats r there plans?how have they achieved?....then the focus is totally on India...its resources...its problems...targets to be achieved...etc...all sectors are explained with current state...progress gained till now n plans 4 future are explained in enough details...
different sectors explained are:
1) Food, agriculture n processing
2) Materials n the future
3) Chemical industry n biological wealth
4) Manufacturing
5) Health care n more...
This book has made me think...has helped me to think outside the politics...i keep thinkin of the diff ways i can contribute to this vision using my knowledge n experience....4 me most imp sectors to concentrate r water management, power generation, manufacturing (optimum use of resources),health service 4 all (WATCH "SICKO" by micheal mooore), education with proper use of IT industry...
I know its easy to just write down than to implement but to achieve something one has to first dream for it..lets C...
